Compare this against the same photo at 30 KB: quality 74 rather than 62. That 12-point difference is where skin tone stops looking posterised. If your form allows 50 KB, there is no reason to go lower than this.
Why not just use 50 KB?
Because "under 50 KB" and "50 KB" are not the same instruction, and portals enforce the stricter reading. Windows, macOS and the portal itself may each report a file as 49, 50 or 51 KB depending on whether they count in 1000 or 1024 byte units. Targeting 45 KB puts you clear of that ambiguity, which is worth more than the few kilobytes of quality you give up.

My form says 50 KB. Can I just use the 50 KB tool?
